A Vacation from my Vacation?

Ok, we've all been there. A long vacation with the kids, beaches, boat rides, amusement parks, travel, restaurants, a temporary bed, living out of a suitcase, traveling, making connections, trams.... It can be exhausting.

Vacations are supposed to be relaxing, and for the most part, are. So why then, after you get back does it always seem like you need a vacation from your vacation?

Is it even possible to truly "get away"? I think you forfeit that option if you leave your phone connected, or bring a device like an IPad. There's too much draw to those things, and I'm convinced there's no such ting as just checking email for "a minute" because you tend to dwell on the stuff that you are missing, or what you have to do when you get back.

Is there so much pressure to enjoy it that you actually forget that where you are is infinitely better than where you were?
